Our office is in Pasadena, so this is not a market we drive out to. We work on the housing stock the city actually has, which is heavily early twentieth century, and that changes how a remodel gets planned. Behind the plaster there is often knob and tube wiring, galvanized supply lines, or framing that was never meant to carry a modern opening, and all of that gets looked at before the finishes are priced.
Pasadena runs its own plan check and inspection process, and structural work, additions, and ADUs go through it. We prepare the submittal, carry the corrections, and schedule the inspections, so the permit is our job and not a homework assignment we hand back to you.
